Carly

Carly

Carly – Female – 2 Years

Carly is a young, female cat with a sleek black coat. She has a very calm, easy going demeanor. Estimated at about two years old, Carly enjoys pets behind the ears, during which she starts purring immediately. Carly is a big fan of sitting in her Kitty Sill and looking at the window and watching birds and anything else catches her eyes. Carly will show you her shy side in the beginning but warms up over time — especially when you bring out her favorite toys. In fact, when she’s ready to play, she goes into the kitchen and gently meows for her foster mom to go get her toy. Carly’s favorite toys include the Cat Dancer Charmer (a rainbow fleece ribbon wand toy) and catnip mice. Sometimes she gets bursts of energy and chases her ball around the house. Carly loves to run and encourages her cat friends to join in and chase her. It’s so funny to watch her. She headbutts her foster mom’s legs when she prepares her meal. This is her way of showing affection and appreciation. She answers to her name, as well as to “Kitty, Kitty”.

We rescued Carly and her three kittens from Chicago Animal Control when they were all surrendered by their owner. All of her kittens have been adopted, and now it’s Carly’s turn to find a warm, loving, forever home.

Carly would thrive in calm and loving home willing to give her some time to adjust to her new surroundings. She gets along great with other cats, and in fact will engage with other cats before getting comfortable with her owner. We think there is much more sweetness to Carly’s personality and that it will come out when she reaches her forever home. She does not like to be picked up (but will tolerate). She is not a lap cat. No children or dogs.

She is Spayed, FIV/FeLV tested negative, Avid micro-chipped, de-wormed and has all necessary shots.she is ready to go to a loving home. Adoption fee is $125
