Kiara

Meet Kiara

Kiara is an active 3-year-old female cat who has made a real impression on her foster mom. We’ll let her tell you about this special cat.

“Kiara is a total sweetheart, albeit a lady of the night! She needs someone who is patient about being awakened multiple times a night. (I couldn’t lock her out of my room because it broke my heart when she meowed). She also is still very kitten-like – jumping on counters and anything she can reach. She knows when she is being naughty and will immediately jump down and scurry away when you come back in the kitchen. She is learning to use the scratching board instead of the carpet and couch and I am very proud of her!

She is very curious and has a love for electronics. She is my shadow which is so fun! A cat of the 21st century! Cell phones, computers, humidifiers she wants to use it all. She like scratches under the chin and nose massages the most. She has the softest coat and is so fun to cuddle. When I wake up in the morning I find her nuzzled up to me. Her favorite toys are a scratching tower with a marble game, as well as a wand with a feather on the end. She loves to jump for it.”

There’s no way to know where Kiara’s life started out; but prior to coming to us, she was part of a managed feral colony. She must have had a lot of human interaction in her young life, as she is super friendly and playful with people.

We don’t know how Kiara is with other animals. She has never been around dogs. She was briefly exposed to other cats upon rescue and was a bit defensive. With a proper introduction, she would probably be fine with a cat-savvy dog or cat and might benefit from having a pal with which she could burn off some of her energy.

She has been spayed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, received her microchip, rabies and FVRCP vaccines, 2 rounds of deworming and flea/ticks treatments. she is ready to go to a loving home.  Adoption fee is $125
