Mozart is sweet, loving and quiet. He has a low-key demeanor that you would expect from an adult cat. Mozart likes human attention and seeks it out. Sometimes he’ll play hard-to-get by going the other direction when someone goes toward him. But once the petting begins, he doesn’t want it to stop. In January, Mozart had a very involved dental procedure; which included extracting numerous teeth affected by painful resorptive lesions. His teeth are now shiny and clean (those that are left). Having fewer teeth doesn’t affect the way he eats. His still loves dry and canned food. Mozart also has a weepy right eye. He has been examined for this several times, including by the eye specialist. It turns out that’s just how he is.
Mozart was relinquished to us from an elderly woman who needed help placing some of her much-loved cats when her health put her in a position to no longer be able to care for them.
Mozart is about seven years old; has been around many cats in his lifetime, and is VERY easy going around them. A home with (an)other easy-going, adult cat would be a great fit for him. There are dogs in Mozart’s foster home and he doesn’t seem to even notice them, so cat-savvy dogs are likely ok. Cat savvy older kids should be ok, also.
Meet Mozart at the Windy Kitty Cafe in Chicago.
He has been neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, received his microchip, rabies and FVRCP vaccines, 2 rounds of deworming and flea/ticks treatments. He is ready to go to a loving home. Adoption fee is $125
