Did you say you wanted a cuddly, loving cat? Well look no further. Skittles loves to be picked up, hugged and kissed. His favorite place to relax is on his foster mom’s chest. Skittles is a sweet brown tabby with white accents. He is estimated to be about 8 years old, but is active and playful as a kitten; running up and down stairs and playing with the feather kitty dancer.
Skittles’ journey to becoming adoptable was not an easy one. A dedicated PPAH foster saw him advertised for “Free” in a neighborhood online newspaper. She asked if we would sponsor him if she rescued and fostered him. Of course we said yes. Poor Skittles was not in good physical shape and was taken to our vet for an exam and repeat diagnostics. Throughout the subsequent daily medications and weekly trips to the vet, Skittles remained his same loving self; rubbing up against a leg for affection and looking up with those beautiful loving eyes. Skittles is no longer on any medication but is on a prescription diet called Hill’s Biome to manage digestive issues he faces if he eats over the counter food.
Skittles gets along well with other cats and is just an easy going boy. We think he will enjoy life as an only cat, but does get along easily with feline friends. He will likely have to remain on his prescription food for the rest of his life. So, if he is adopted into a home with another cat, the adopter will need to ensure he is fed separately and does not have access to any food other than his own.
Skittles is a very loving, deserving cat. We can’t wait for him to find the perfect family who feels just the same.
He is already neutered, FIV/FeLV tested negative, Avid micro-chipped, de-wormed and has all necessary shots. He is ready to go to a loving home. Adoption fee is $125
