Tama is a sweet natured older guy. He loves to be around people, loves to be petted and scratched behind his ears and around his chin and cheeks. He’ll fall asleep next to you or leaning against you. Tama was well loved by his owners for 15 years. But when they passed away, he came into the possession of his foster parents. They love Tama but one is allergic and has asthma. They would be thrilled to find Tama a good and proper home.

Tama’s greatest joy is food. He will eat and eat if given the opportunity. He is not afraid to tell you he is hungry. His late owners did indulge him and he ended up gaining a lot of weight to the point where he became diabetic. Fortunately, he has since lost that weight and is no longer diabetic. But his diet needs to be monitored: only wet foods, no dry. He is also a little arthritic in his back hips but gets around just fine, especially with his supplement. He has been neutered and his front paws are de-clawed.

Tama would be perfect in a quiet, mellow, attentive environment. He’s too old to adjust to dogs or small children. And although he was around other cats for many years, it’s been too long and might be too stressful for him now. Tama means “ball” in Japanese. And that’s what he is: a great big ball of love!

He is already neutered, FIV/FeLV tested negative, Avid micro-chipped, de-wormed and has all necessary shots. He is ready to go to a loving home.  Adoption fee is $125
