Zelda is a sweet black and white domestic short-hair cat who is almost 2 years old. Although she is more reserved than some cats, she loves to be in the same room with her favorite human(s) and observes whatever they may be doing. She is very vocal and likes to tell LOTS of stories, especially when her foster mom is in the kitchen cooking. Zelda seems nervous and not trusting when she first meets new human friends; but over a short period of time, she learns that she is in a safe place and offers kisses, purrs and lots of affection. Zelda gets along with other cats her age or a little younger and doesn’t seem to mind her small foster dog.
We rescued Zelda from the euthanasia list at Chicago Animal Care Control last October. Since then, she has resided in a couple different loving foster homes. We don’t know her full story before the rescue, but we do know Zelda has experienced some type of neglect or mistreatment as her recovery to trust humans again has been a long road.
Since her rescue, Zelda has come so far and has so much love to give to the right adopter. Since Zelda gets over stimulated quickly, it is not recommended that she is in a home with young children. If you are looking for a cat with a big heart who is yearning to trust and love her forever human(s), Zelda will be your perfect match. The perfect home for Zelda would also have another young cat(s) with which she can play, socialize and help keep her entertained.
She is already spayed, FIV/FeLV tested negative, Avid micro-chipped, de-wormed and has all necessary shots. She is ready to go to a loving home. Adoption fee is $125
